This Privacy Notice aims to explain how Talentman Ltd (Millers House, Roman Way, Market Harborough, Leicestershire, LE16 7PQ, United Kingdom) uses and protects any information that you provide when using our website www.talentman.uk or contacting us to use our services. 

Talentman Ltd is fully committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Why do we process your information? 

We process information about you, known as 'personal data', to enable us to carry out our business as an employment agency for the purposes of permanent recruitment services. 

We have obligations to ensure that the jobseekers we place into vacancies are suitable for those positions and that the vacancies are suitable for those jobseekers. We have a duty of care to look after the best interests of our customers and to do that we need to collect and process relevant information. 

We act as the data controller for any personal data you supply to us in relation to enquiries about our services and registering as a client or jobseeker.

How do we collect your personal data?

• When you respond to an advert on a job board or other website;

• When you directly contact our business;

• When you complete an application form and/or submit a CV;

• When you speak to our staff by telephone;

• When another agency and/or organisation passes your details to us.

In addition, we occasionally source potential jobseekers from well-known job boards or CV database websites. Please note that by uploading your contact details and CV on to these websites you are agreeing to their privacy policy with regards to sharing that information with third parties such as ourselves.

What information do we collect? 

We need to collect certain types of data such as your name, address, contact details, work and education history, references and proof of right to work in the country you are seeking employment. We may also need to collect more sensitive personal information such as any criminal convictions, information on your physical or mental health and wellbeing relevant to the type of work you are applying for and whether you require any reasonable adjustments to undertake any roles.

Who will we share information with? 

Information shared with client organisations - In order for our client organisations to consider jobseekers for opportunities within their businesses, we need to share jobseeker information with them. 

Information shared with jobseekers - In order to perform our recruitment services (such as arranging interviews, for example) we often need to share client contact information (such as name, job title and contact details) with jobseekers.

Information shared with third parties - In order to perform our recruitment services and maintain data security, we may need to share information with third parties for legitimate business reasons.

Government agencies and law enforcement bodies - We may also provide your information to other third parties such as but not limited to regulators and law enforcement bodies, where we are required to do so by law, where necessary for the purpose of preventing and detecting fraud, other criminal offences and/or to ensure network and information security.

Data security

We take every precaution to protect our users’ information and use all reasonable efforts to safeguard your personal data. However, you should be aware that the use of email/ the Internet is not entirely secure and for this reason we cannot guarantee the security or integrity of any personal information which is transferred from you or to you via email/ the Internet.

Data retention 

We will only retain your data for as long as there is either a statutory requirement for us to do so, or to be able to provide a service to you. We will normally retain your data for 18 months in order to be able to provide a service to you and will ask for your consent if we wish to keep your data beyond that period.
