Structural Design Engineer, Gibraltar (GIB)

Structural Design Engineer wanted for a small-medium Consulting Civil and Structural Engineering practice in Gibraltar.

A long-established practice in Gibraltar are seeking a hands-on Structural Design Engineer to join their local team. 

If you're a team player with a solid understanding of structural engineering and a passion for getting involved in all stages of design – from concept to construction –, this could be the perfect fit for you. We are happy to consider a role at either an assistant/intermediate or a senior level engineers.

What you'll be doing:

• You'll be working on a variety of projects, collaborating with other professionals and handling different levels of complexity.

• Taking projects from from concept through to design development, detailed design, tender packaging and construction documentation through to inspection on site;

• Producing structural assessments, calculations, detailed designs, and technical drawings;

• Senior engineers: leading structural design on projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations; also providing technical expertise and degree

What we’re looking for:

• A degree (preferably an MEng. or MSc.) in Structural Engineering 

• Familiarity with Eurocode standards

• Structural building design experience, ideally with a variety of materials (timber, masonry, steel, RC) - min. 3 years (assistant/intermediate), 5+ years (senior)

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and structural analysis software (experience with TEKLA a plus).

• Knowledge of Revit would be a bonus

• Fluency in English (spoken and written)

You must also have unrestricted right to work in Gibraltar / ideally U.K. or EU citizenship.
