Electrical Design Engineer, Gibraltar (GIB)

Gibraltar’s leading building services consultancy are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their team - could this be your new role??

They have been based in Gibraltar since the company’s inception over 20 years ago and have become the largest building services consultants in the area, highly experienced in working in conjunction with local architects and other consultants to British and internationally recognised standards.

Your duties as an Electrical Design Engineer will include:

• Undertaking electrical building services design work consisting of surveys, drawings and specifications for projects:

  • Medium and low voltage networks

  • Small power, lighting, fire alarm, security, door access systems

  • Containment systems

  • Data systems

  • Metering

• Attending site visits and liaising with contractors and clients

• Working collaboratively with other members of the engineering team

• Running your own projects independently (Senior Engineer)

You could be the right person for the role if you have:

• Degree or HNC/HND in electrical engineering or building services engineering

• Professional membership (CIBSE or IET) - preferable

• Relevant building services design experience - min. 2  years (intermediate), 5-10 years (senior)

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities

• Practical experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Hevacomp and/or Amtech

• Fluency in English; if you can also speak Spanish that would be awesome

• Right to work in Gibraltar (UK or EU citizenship)
