One of Gibraltar's leading main contractors is looking for an experienced Engineering Surveyor / Setting Out Engineer to join its construction team in Gibraltar. You will be responsible for accurate setting out and surveying activities across construction projects, working closely with site management, engineers and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered accurately and to specification.

Carry out accurate setting out and surveying of construction works using total stations, GPS/GNSS and other surveying equipment
Establish and maintain site control points, benchmarks and reference systems
Set out foundations, structures, levels, grids, drainage, roads and other civil engineering works
Undertake topographical surveys and produce accurate site measurements and records
Check dimensions, levels and alignment of completed works against drawings and specifications
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and digital survey data
Record and report survey information, including as-built surveys and progress measurements
Work closely with Site Managers, Engineers and subcontractors to resolve setting-out and dimensional issues
Maintain surveying equipment and ensure all measurements are accurate and properly documented
Assist with quality control and provide technical surveying support throughout the construction process
Proven experience as an Engineering Surveyor, Setting Out Engineer, Site Engineer, Land Surveyor or Topographer within construction or civil engineering
Strong practical experience using Total Station, GPS/GNSS and digital surveying equipment
Ability to read and interpret engineering and construction drawings
Good understanding of construction surveying, levels, coordinates and dimensional control
Competent with relevant surveying/CAD software; experience with AutoCAD or Civil 3D would be advantageous.
Relevant engineering, surveying or construction qualification and/or substantial practical experience
Right to live and work in Gibraltar
Fluent English; and if you hablas a bit of español that would be useful
