Construction / Site HSE Manager
Gibraltar | £50,000 - £70,000 package | 18-24 month fixed-term contract
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Site HSE Manager to join a marine civil engineering and land reclamation project in Gibraltar.
This is a key position supporting the safe and successful delivery of a large-scale infrastructure scheme involving marine works, land reclamation, heavy plant operations, dredging activities and multiple contractor interfaces.
You will be the lead HSE professional on site, responsible for overseeing all health, safety and environmental activities throughout the construction phase and ensuring compliance with client, regulatory and company standards.

Key Responsibilities
Lead all Health, Safety and Environmental activities across the project
Prepare, review and maintain Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings
Review and approve subcontractor HSE documentation
Maintain and monitor compliance with planning conditions and environmental requirements
Update and manage the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP)
Maintain Construction Phase Health & Safety Plans and associated project documentation
Conduct site inspections, audits and compliance checks
Ensure compliance with local legislation, client requirements and company procedures
Manage stakeholder relationships with regulatory authorities, government agencies and the Port
Promote a positive safety culture across the project team and supply chain
Produce HSE reports and KPI data for project management
Candidate Requirements
Essential
NEBOSH Construction Certificate or NEBOSH General Certificate
Demonstrable experience in a Site HSE Manager, Project HSE Manager or Senior HSE Advisor role
Construction sector background
Strong understanding of environmental management within construction projects
In addition to fluent English, it would be great if you were conversant in Spanish; if you also spoke a bit of Dutch that would be a real bonus.
